About me:

I like to spend my time working towards the advancement of social development through integral approaches, innovation and citizen empowerment. I am the founder of a Health Campaign Mexico se Mueve (against obesity and diabetes) and Director of a Think Tank in Mexico that works to stop the spreading of obesity on a national scale both through advocacy, public policy and educational programs. I believe in integral approaches to develpment challenges and thus address them both with public policy and structural changes with community interventions and a different mindsets. For example, I coordinate projects (together with Laboratory of the City that kickstart srong intersectorial mobilization towards a healthier Mexico: and also work with National Health Institutes to create anti-obesity laws. I started actively working in the social sector since she was 19 when I co-founded PIDES (Integral Platform for Sustainable Development), a NGO that works on climate change projects and sustainability through citizen empowerment, public policy advocacy and civic engagement. PIDES works with financing of international cooperation development agencies, embassies and other organizations to transform rhetoric into action and pilot tests into systemic changes. I have also coordinated various national and international conferences (for United Nations, Foreign Affairs Ministry, National Youth Institute, among others)
