A PhD in technical sciences, Oleksandr Elkin specializes in Computer Science and marketing of non-commercial organizations with over 10 years of experience in the field of education. He is the author of more than 40 scientific articles, patents and popular science publications.
Oleksandr manages Ukrainian and international projects in which IT interact with education. Among them – school management system School Champion (www.schoolchampion.in.ua), Khan Academy in Ukrainian and Russian languages (http://ru.khanacademy.org, http://uk.khanacademy.org), guide to the world of Kharkiv education (www.catalog.sch.in.ua), visual teacher assistant (www.vta.sch.in.ua) and others. He is also a trainer and a speaker at local and international events. And the inspirer for the EdCamp movement in Ukraine (www.edcamp.org.ua).
In addition, Oleksandr is the founder curator for Kharkiv hub of Global Shapers Community (www.globalshapers.org/hubs/kharkiv), the international initiative of the World Economic Forum; he was also one of the Ukrainian delegates at Forum-2014 in Davos, Switzerland.
Oleksandr promotes the modern etiquette of the digital age and is the author of a series of books in the creative union of technological gourmets P@El (www.pael.pro). A member of the expert council of the Ukrainian Educational Innovation Fund BrainBasket (www.brainbasket.org).
He is an active participant of the Jewish community and a member of the Trustee Council of Beith Dan Jewish Cultural Centre (www.beitdan.org.ua). Initiated the Internet project "Jews on the map of Ukraine: discover, travel, together” (www.jews.in.ua).
