How can Agentic AI improve societies, cities and people’s everyday lives?


## How can agentic AI be deployed responsibly to create tangible benefits for people, communities and economies?

The UAE Government and the World Economic Forum are launching a global Innovation Challenge to identify and scale practical applications of agentic AI that can address real-world societal and urban challenges. More than 10,000 Global Shapers in 150 countries and territories will be invited to participate, bringing local insight to a global technology initiative. Over the course of one year, participants will identify challenges in their communities, build solutions, and submit ideas with the potential to scale across cities and societies.


### Launch

At the Annual Meeting of the Global Future Leaders 2026, the Challenge will officially open to Global Shapers worldwide, with the challenge brief, eligibility criteria and submission process shared with hubs worldwide.


### Agentic AI Training

Global Shapers will be invited to enrol in AI for All, a training programme from the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), to strengthen their understanding of Agentic AI and translate local challenges into credible, responsible and informed solutions.


### Applications Open

Global Shapers will be invited to submit solutions from 1 March 2027, applying Agentic AI to solve challenges affecting their communities.Solutions may be at the idea, prototype or early implementation stage, but should demonstrate a credible path to real-world application.


### Selection Process

Submissions will be reviewed by an expert jury. Winning solutions will be announced at the Annual Meeting of Global Future Leaders 2027 and considered for global visibility and engagement through the World Economic Forum and the UAE.


## Selection Criteria

Submissions should demonstrate Agentic AI solutions that are:


### Human-centred

Responding to a clear societal need and improving outcomes for people


### Innovative

Applying Agentic AI in a novel or differentiated way to address the challenge


### Actionable

Moving beyond an idea to display a credible path towards implementation


### Scalable

Showing the potential to be adapted or applied across communities or cities


### Responsible by Design

Incorporating appropriate safeguards, accountability and oversight


### Impact-oriented

Showing clear potential for measurable and meaningful impact
