5uroj Meetup

Background

The 5uroj Meetup was conceived in response to the growing need for a supportive and collaborative environment for students and young developers in Tripoli, Libya. Recognizing the importance of fostering a strong tech community, this initiative aims to bridge the gap between young talent and experienced professionals in the field. The project's founders identified a lack of accessible, inclusive, and engaging events where aspiring developers could learn, ask questions, and network with others who share their passion for technology and programming.

Project Summary

The 5uroj Meetup is a monthly event series held in Tripoli, Libya, focusing on providing students and young developers with the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, network, and collaborate on projects. Each meetup consists of a 30-minute talk by an invited speaker, followed by a 30-minute Q&A session and an open discussion for the remainder of the two-hour event. The meetups accommodate 16 to 24 attendees per session and are held on the first Saturday of each month. Participants register online and pay a small attendance fee. The project organizers strive to create an inclusive environment and aim to bring in speakers from outside Tripoli to offer diverse perspectives and experiences.
