Problem Statement: Wellington is at risk to natural disasters. The Wellington Hub is looking to share preparedness tools for local action.

Project Target Group: Renters, youth and at-risk suburbs to natural disasters.

Proposed Solution:

• To develop a renter's guide relevant to those at risk and not captured in existing emergency readiness material.


• To run interactive workshops with the communities representing the target group.

Hub Activities:

1. Nov / Shapers to attend training and connect with emergency hubs.


2. Feb / A preparedness guide for renters to be published publicly.


3. March / Review and share impact including sharing of final renter's guide; amended based on feedback from workshops.

Metrics:

• A published guide for emergency readiness targeting at risk groups identified above


• Three posts on LinkedIn and Instagram on emergency readiness top tips in Wellington

Collaborators: The hub will collaborate with the local emergency management office WREMO, community emergency readiness hubs and the local university.
