The Abuja Global Shapers is one of the five Hubs across the Global Shapers Community to win the World Economic Forum’s Climate Reality Grant for 2020. 

To implement this grant, the Abuja Hub is collaborating with ten partners (NGOs, schools, groups, individuals, academic bodies, religious communities and clubs) in Abuja to plant 5,000 Trees in the Federal Capital of Nigeria on or before June 21, 2020 (International Climate Change Day).

In line with this grant, the Abuja Global Shapers is promoting environmental sustainability in the Federal Capital of Nigeria, by taking on this challenge to tackle Abuja’s loss of trees, and to reinstate the city as the “Green Capital” of Nigeria.
