Early-stage startups and young entrepreneurs, whether in business or nonprofits, often struggle to navigate the complex legal and institutional processes involved in establishing and running their ventures. This complexity can lead to confusion and setbacks, impeding their chances of success.

Proposed Solution

The Addis Shapes Guide project aims to address this issue by creating accessible PDF guides that offer clear and practical information on specific themes, helping young entrepreneurs overcome key challenges. These guides will be shared through social media, especially on LinkedIn, and will be supplemented by interactive workshops for a more in-depth understanding. This initiative is designed to empower young entrepreneurs by providing the knowledge and guidance needed to navigate legal complexities, fostering their success, and contributing to the growth of innovative startups and impactful social enterprises.

Long term goals: The project aims to make a lasting impact on the target group through:


  • Interactive Website: The creation of a website with interactive versions of the guides, ensuring ongoing access and engagement.
    • Long-Term Dissemination: Continued distribution of the guides to the target audience, enabling long-term benefits.


  • Guide Reviews: The potential development of additional volumes or updates to the guides, depending on evolving circumstances and needs.


Available Metrics

Outputs: Creation and publication of three educational guides. Development and preparation of three interactive workshops based on the guides.

Units of Measurement: Number of online guide interactions (e.g., downloads, views, engagement). Workshop attendance (number of participants for each workshop).

Impact: This project is designed to empower participants by equipping them with knowledge and skills, fostering community collaboration, and ensuring long-term access to valuable resources, thereby contributing to sustained personal and community development.
