After the Afghan government collapsed, thousands of refugees have been resettled to the US, and many of them to the DC- Maryland- Virginia area. Many organizations are working tirelessly to resettle them, and even thought months have passed, still lots of support is needed. The Washington DC Hub, in partnership with the Afghan-American Foundation, IRC, and a local organization called One Journey, has focused its efforts in generating awareness through storytelling, and connecting the community with concrete avenues of support. The team generated short video clips that were used by this organizations, and is currently supporting in the logistics of a photo exhibit from an Afghan refugee at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
