Amazonia Reset

Problem Statement:

Target Group:

Amazonian company owners, social impact entrepreneurs, influencers and leaders of communities based in Manaus

Proposed Solution:

Amazonian company owners, social impact entrepreneurs, influencers and leaders of communities based in Manaus are invited to take part on thematic panels in order to discuss solutions for different political, economic, social and environmental matters in Amazon.

Amazonia Reset main goal is to serve as an annual meeting to discuss tendencies and solutions to promote integration and networking between social leaders with decision-makers from both private and public sectors.

This way, Amazonia Reset catalyzes discussions and facilitates investments in business aligned to each sector needs, in order to develop and create inclusive and innovative local communities (I for inclusion - create inclusive communities)

Hub Activities:

2022

In the project's third edition, the themes discussed were New Amazonian Technological Solutions, Cultural Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Investments in Amazonian Businesses. All discussions were broadcasted live in the Manaus Hub YouTube channel, in order to expand the discussions to other Amazonian cities.

In 2022, the Amazonia Reset has offered over 3 hours of discussion pannels in its main event, held in July 31th at Impact Hub Manaus.

The Manaus Hub is responsible for Amazonia Reset in its totality: organization, production and financial viabilization, working in partnership with Amazonian stakeholders like Bemol, Impact Hub Manaus and Venture Hub Manaus.

2021

After some branding changes because of branding rights, Amazonia Reset is set as the projects new title. During this edition, the discussions were divided in three nights, all of them broadcasted live on YouTube. The themes discussed were Education in Amazon, Academic Environments and Workplaces, Future of Work, Sustainable Cities, Tourism in Amazon and Future of Amazonian Economy.

2020

The format was originally launched as "Amazonia 4.0", an online event, with an average of 80 people watching its sessions simultaneously. Activities were divided in two days. Themes discussed: Exponential Tech & Forest, Sustainable Agriculture in Amazon, Amazonian Culture and Digital Literacy.

Short & Long-Term Goals/Results:

Some testimonies about Amazonia Reset highlight its importance to the Amazonian social innovation ecosystem:

"This event is gift for Manaus. To mobilize so many relevant decision-makers in different areas so they feel free to bring their points of view and experiences to discuss strategies to our region is fundamental" - Luciana Nogueira, Manaus Hub Alumni and CEO at Singulari Consultoria

"Amazonia Reset has the power of generate connexions and streghten bonds between community leaders and corporate leaderships" - Rojefferson Moraes, community leader and President of Soul do Monte Institute

The Amazonia Reset Labs are itinerant and thematic panel discussions held in peripherical neighborhoods and remote locations throughout the year in order to decentralize in-depth discussions and collaborate in the formation of community leaders originated from vulnerable populations.

Those labs were born as an addition to the Amazonia Reset original project, after some discussions pointed out that formative events were only held in Manaus central areas, although empowering and listening to peripherical leaderships.
