Global Shapers are asked by a group of Neighbourhood Organizers of Amsterdam North to advise them on organizational, governance, legal and financial infrastructure for setting up a Community Fund. A Community Fund is a social innovative fund governed by the local residents and stakeholders, that provides community enterprises with a combination of debt, equity and grant funding. In Amsterdam North a significant number of small (social) enterprises are emerging that have potential to drive local employment and bottom-up participation, like a cleaning company, community restaurant, a thrift shop and a buddy project. A Community Fund can provide them with crucial financial services and create a resilient, enterprising and flourishing community. Shapers' advice will be binding for a real Community Fund and input for a unique, scalable open source Community Fund Template, that can be used by other communities around the world.
