Apna Saghan Van - Miyawaki method

The goal of Apna Saghan Van - Miyawaki method is to pant a forest every year in and around Dehradun whilst engaging the local community to grow and preserve the forest, creating long-term value of forests. The forest is created using a traditional Japanese technique in cities and urban settings, which grow faster and denser than conventional forests, thereby leading to a generation of completely natural ecosystems and promoting natural engagement.

In 2020, the hub has planted a forest over 1,000 sq feet with over 300 trees which are a combination of several varieties, including local fruits. The forest has been planted in a public school with the direct involvement of local volunteers and is expected to be a life-changing experience for all stakeholders alike.
