Bandung is the name of the city, Membumi means "Back to Earth". #BandungMembumi is a series of programs, activities & campaigns towards building a more sustainable lifestyle. The project aims to motivate the people of Bandung to take action on what is good for themselves, people, & the whole ecosystem service.

While "being conscious" is not limited by being 'environmentally conscious' but most of the actions & programs are so far mostly touching the aspect about being environmentally conscious, because we think that the main goal of being conscious is to ensure everything we do or consume nourish the planet, and we found so many good practical actions that is quite doable to spread the awareness. Here are some of them in our action pipelines: 1. #BandungMembumi #BandungMembumi is the official #hashtag that will be used to introduce the movement and is aimed to instill more curiosity about further advocacy & programs. The hashtag will be spread all over the communication & campaign materials. 2. Trees Adoption Program, in association with Masigit Kareumbi Conservation Area in West Java, Indonesia. In the past 27 years, humanity have doubled the rate of carbon in the atmosphere, we’ve been a carbon-generating civilization and polluting roughly up to 10 Gigatonnes carbon every year. We believe that the least way to payback our carbon debt and restore the earth is to enable more trees to be planted & being well taken care. The program is aimed to be a year-long program to get more people to plant trees as well as to incentivize local people to take care of trees. Initially we launched the campaign for 1,000 trees, each tree is cost about USD 5, but it's currently surpassing the initial goals only in few days, we have reached roughly 2020 trees to be adopted! Got support from the YGL Network Indo, and now we raise the number of the targeted goals to be 10,000 trees! 3. #ShapersDialogue The dialogue will be on several series, formats & topics, addressing different segment of audiences including students, aspiring entrepreneurs, and government. The dialogues aims to give people a toolkit to live sustainably, safely, & consciously. 4. Advocacy with Local Government After we've done with the activities, we're aiming to bring the communicate thea outcome & findings to the Government of Bandung & West Java in order to explore potential collaboration and introduce them about Global Shapers Community.
