Problem Statement:
According to a career awareness survey conducted by the Cabinet Office targeting 10,000 individuals aged 16-29:
・32% cited mismatched job suitability and ➁ interpersonal conflicts as reasons for leaving their jobs within one year.
・73.5% expressed concerns about their job-related skills.
・72.2% had concerns about balancing work and family life.

Project Overview: "Be the Change by Exploring Diverse Lifestyles (Interactive Career Lecture Series)"

We are organizing an "Be the Change by Exploring Diverse Lifestyles (Interactive Career Lecture Series)" with project leader Kuniaki Moribe at its center, featuring guest speakers who are successful entrepreneurs and cultural figures active in Kyoto. This lecture series aims to foster change-makers who connect the global and local communities, and it has formed a partnership with Kyoto University of Foreign Studies. We have held 9 sessions thus far, inviting over 300 participants. Guest speakers such as Rika Yajima and Tokichika Yamashina from Kyoto Hub have delivered speeches, conveying the importance of economics, culture, and education to the younger generation.

Impact:
・9 guest speakers took the stage and shared their perspectives on personal journeys and societal changes with the young audience.
・300 participants attended the events, fostering new connections and providing them with inspiration to reflect on their careers and lives.
・5 students gained valuable experience by participating as support staff, engaging in activities such as publicity and hosting.
・Through collaborations between the guest speakers and university students, a second-hand clothing festival focused on promoting sustainability and reducing CO2 emissions was organized in Kyoto, becoming a significant event for the city.
・The events served as a catalyst for promoting the activities of Global Shapers and Kyoto Hub, leading to two participants becoming members of Kyoto Hub and contributing to its initiatives.

Next Steps:
・Strengthen the partnership with Kyoto University of Foreign Studies and undertake projects that involve a larger number of students and local community members.
・Establish a sustainable operation model that allows for reward of guest speakers and supporting staff.
・Develop mechanisms to connect with a diverse range of students and understand their concerns and interests better.
