Inclusive Entrepreneurship

While Chicago continues to focus on the growth of its tech sector, the city has experienced an imbalanced recovery that has disproportionately neglected specific communities and geographies. Economic disparities, chronic unemployment, public safety and other challenges have excluded parts of the city from fully participating in its economic advancement, which necessitates a vision of diversity, inclusivity and equity.

The Chicago Hub wishes to promote inclusive entrepreneurship that strives for the involvement of all entrepreneurs, particularly those in underrepresented communities, to create stronger communities, close the opportunity gap and scale creative solutions to persistent citywide problems. Inclusive entrepreneurship will be accomplished by supporting the local tech ecosystem throughout all of Chicago, specifically by focusing resources and attention on entrepreneurship organizations focused on people of color, women, immigrants and military veterans.
