Problem statement

Socially vulnerable students who are studying in popular pre-university courses or in schools may not always have the opportunity to get to know universities and professionals in practice who may be helping them in their professional career, and make their dreams come true.

 Target Group

Our target audience for the project are socially vulnerable students, mostly from popular pre-university courses and public schools, who have economic difficulties and who need to work to support their families at the same time as they study to enter university and pursue their dream career.

Proposed Solution

The solution proposed by the Chipei Teus Sonhos project is through a program that begins with filling out a form and individual conversations, to identify the socially vulnerable students, and understand their dream so that we can collaborate in the realization of their dreams and support their career.

After this process, we prepare a journey in which the beneficiary student visits universities, talks to professionals who are connected to the student's dream, answer questions, exchange experiences, carry out networking and practical learning experiences. A practical example of the project: A student who has the dream project of becoming a doctor, we took this student to visit the Faculty of Medicine at the University of São Paulo and also held conversations with medical professionals and undergraduate medical students, to ensure this person had the relevant support and collaboration to realize his dream.

Hub activities

The central activities of the project are to collaborate and support the career and realization of the dreams of socially vulnerable students, through understanding each student's dream, visiting universities, connecting and holding conversations with professionals according to each student's career, networking, mentoring and practical experiences in organizations.

Short and Long-Term Goals

The short-term objectives were to hold conversations with professionals and visit universities with the aim of collaborating on students' careers to resolve doubts, better define their career choice, truly understand how the chosen profession works in practice and facilitating networking among students and professionals.

In the long term, it would be monitoring the realization of students' dreams if they have in fact managed to achieve their goals and if they have managed to create new paths and plans to make their dreams come true. Increase in the number of students to be impacted, increase in the collaborative team.

 Impact Results

• 15 students impacted


• 10 Meetings with professionals - (professionals in Medicine, Law, Journalism, Technology, Photography).


• 2 Visits to Universities - ( Faculty of Medicine at the University of São Paulo and Faculty of Education at the University of São Paulo


• 1 Trainee to have practical work experience in the technology area at the NGO called Protagonize


• Students with transformed personal and professional life perspectives, change to a Growth Mindset.

Project collaborators

Chipei Teus Sonhos Project is being carried out in a Cross Hub manner between the Global Shapers Hub of São Paulo I and Hub of São Paulo II.

Leadership and idealization of Alecs Tsuka (Global Shapers São Paulo I) and Diego Costa (Global Shapers Hub São Paulo II) with the collaboration of organizations such as Rede Emancipa of education, Popular pre-university courses at Poli USP, Medensina USP, EACH-USP, FEA-USP, Me Salva education platform to support students entering Universities.
