Citizen Sidewalk

The objective of this project is to provide people with disabilities and average pedestrians adequate infrastructure to carry out their transfers in the city. It achieves this by providing a security sidewalk to hundreds of people who transit through a neuralgic point of the city.

The project also aims to make visible a great problem of lack of sidewalks and accessibility to the city. The right to a city and to have a sustainable, safe and accessible mobility must be guaranteed by the government, and the Global Shapers Hub decided to take action and create their own infrastructure to provide road safety while serving a citizen-led role model. We work to improve 1 mile infrastructure and benefit 3,000 people daily. Avoiding crashes, run over people and loss of lifes. We create this project collaborating with 4 other organizations.
