Coding for Refugees in Palestinian Refugee Camps

East Jerusalem Hub successfully launched its first "Coding for Refugee Kids in Palestine" project using MIT Scratch Jr to help kids program their own interactive stories and games. In the process, children learned to solve problems, design projects and express themselves creatively using an iPad or tablet. This project is conducted in partnership with the Ministry of Telecommunication, implemented by JEEL CODE, and sponsored by the Bank of Palestine.

Goals:

Shaping children's future by learning new skills including creative problem solving and expressing themselves creatively.

The ultimate goal is to teach 1,000,000 kids to code.
