Problem Statement

The problem we attempt to mitigate is the insufficient gender perspective of field employees/volunteers of NGOs engaged directly with the impacted population.

Target Group

Employees and/ or volunteers of different NGOs working in territory directly with the impacted population.

Proposed Solution

The solution we propose is an amplification of the gender perspective of field employees/volunteers of NGOs engaged directly with the impacted population. We aim to address this through the development of a program consisting of 3 workshops on gender perspective for 4/5 organizations and the creation of a manual which will not only condense the theoretical aspects of the trainings but will also provide tools to deal with these issues in practice.

Hub Activities

  • Research on:

    • Gender issues in Argentina and Latin America

    • Gender dynamics in the completion of programs of different NGOs

  • Interviews to employees and volunteers of NGOs doing field-work in different deprived communities

  • Three workshops on gender perspective:

    • Workshop #1: Introduction to gender notions and concepts

    • Workshop #2: Women and LGBTTTIQ+ community at home and the workplace

    • Workshop #3: Integral Sexual education: sexual and reproductive rights

  • Creation and design of a manual on gender perspective with theory and relevant practical tools.

Short & Long-Term Goals/Results

We aimed to train 20 employees/volunteers of diverse NGOs on gender perspective topics and to create a gender perspective manual condensing this information.

Under the framework of these objectives, we were able to train 22 people and to create and design a manual with theory and practical tools to deal with gender issues in practice.

As long-term change we see the amplification of the gender perspective of field employees/volunteers of NGOs engaged directly with the impacted population.
