Problem Statement

The need for a consolidated list of resources for COVID-19 relief, locally and nationally, to increase awareness of the myriad of support being provided by various organizations.

Proposed Solution and Hub Activities

During the early days of the pandemic, Global Shapers Philadelphia identified the need for a consolidated list of resources for COVID-19 relief. Resources include COVID-19 updates and testing locations, virtual school lesson plans, employment relief funds, reputable charities, mental health support, and more. In addition to an easy to access database of COVID-19 related information and resources, the Philadelphia Hub also fundraised money to donate 1000 masks to Temple University Hospital’s COVID-19 emergency  unit when PPE supplies were lacking for medical staff.

Short & Long-term Goals/Results

Consolidate information and increase awareness of COVID-19 resources provided locally and nationally; fundraising to donate masks to Temple University Hospital’s COVID-19 emergency unit.
