Culture of Peace Workshop

According to the 2017 Mexico's Peace Index, Sinaloa ranks as the third most violent state in the country. For more than a decade, Sinaloa has survived this type violence. This situation not only affects direct victims, but also society in general.

The challenge is to rebuild social relations, the basis of coexistence and respect for human rights. To solve this, the hub aims to run a series of workshops with the following objectives:

  1. Recognize how violence affects us and visualize our strength to face it

  2. Internalize the values and attitudes that are part of the Culture of Peace

  3. Assume commitments with small daily actions that promote the Culture of Peace in the community.

The first workshop included a group of 50 children between 7 and 12 years old where it was highlighted the importance of a Culture of Peace. The children committed themselves to small actions that they can take to be part of this positive change.
