Problem Statement

960K+ People are menstruating in the state, at least 75.4 Kg of CO2 per menstruating person each 10 years go into the environment.


Target Group

Menstruating people, specially including LGBT+ community and women who are increasingly vulnerable or have gone through violence related to their Sexual & Reproductive Health Rights.


Proposed Solution

Sexual and reproductive health education/empowerment through workshops and community-oriented activities that are also focused on the reduction of environmental negative impact.


Hub Activities

Workshops to elaborate eco-friendly menstrual health products, how to make a little extra income through this work and crating community around other menstrual positive activities.


Short and Long-term Goals/Results

Short term: Creating a strong empowered community.

Mid-term: Reducing the carbon footprint in San Luis Potosi related to menstrual hygiene.

Long term: improving SRH knowledge and recognition of SRH rights in the long run. Outline the desired outcomes you hope to see. Menstrual general understanding, stop menstrual taboo, inclusion and rights for the menstruating trans community, recognition of the rights of menstruating people in local jurisdiction. 


Available Metrics

Number of people who participate in the workshop and checking out who follows up through activities and surveys: 100 women who take the workshop and switch their hygiene habits at least a 50%.

Involve a group (already part of the project "Casa Betania") who are women survivors of violence, in this case it is an accompanying project to show them new ways of living their menstrual cycle in a friendly way.
