The Global Shapers Dar Hub in collaboration with Jenga Hub, hosted monthly introductory workshops to empower and recognize teachers in our city. The sessions were for educators interested in working with the Scratch programming environment—from elementary school to high school in Dar es Salaam, across curricular areas and settings. Every month, we trained 12 teachers who were excited to discuss the fundamentals of Scratch. Big take home for the teachers was the engaging style in which the training was delivered. They enjoyed the learning culture, which encouraged learning through creating and connecting with colleagues. The program ran for 5 months.
