#EUnite began as a collective effort of over 30 Hubs to celebrate Unity in Diversity on the annual Europe Day in May 2021, despite the upheaval posed by the COVID-19 pandemic that challenged it.

Naples Hub took part in the #EUnite European network dedicated to organizing digital events and awareness campaigns to promote the ideals of “Unity in Diversity” in the run-up to the annual Europe Day on 9 May.

In this difficult historical moment, young Europeans wanted more than ever to connect in a meaningful way to uphold the values ​​of cohesion and solidarity above national divisions.

From March to May 2021 a cross-hub team planned and implemented the project, holding periodic weekly meetings dedicated to the development of the project.

Naples Hub contacted Italian universities to join the campaign and promote its message.

The main activity was a full-day digital event on 9 May 2021 that reached schools and universities, youth networks, businesses, and policymakers.

As part of the project, the Shapers created content for a social media campaign, developed educational materials for high school, and organized a series of digital events including interviews, competitions, artistic performances, and social gatherings. Combining significant organic coverage on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, the project received enthusiastic responses from observers and participants across Europe.
