Fantastic Food and Where to Find Them

Around the world, 1/3 of all food is wasted. 45,000 tons of food delivery waste each year in Shanghai.

Citizens in Shanghai who have access to WeChat. The audience now are mainly students and young people.

Precious SH and Global Shapers Community Shanghai I hub just launched a new project, Fantastic Food and Where to Find Them. Our WeChat mini program collects discount information about delicious surplus food of restaurants, cafes, bakeries and supermarkets in Shanghai. Users can discover perfectly good, surplus food from nearby stores at a lower price, and help the planet through fighting food waste.

We organized info sessions to public and knowledge exchange sessions with multiple institutions such as universities, research centre, and etc.

We collected 200+ POI (Point of Interests) information, attracted 25,416 users since launch, and gained 12,000,000+ exposure on social media by 2022.

Precious SH: Precious SH is a mini app based in Shanghai that focuses on sustainable life scenarios such as eating, drinking, shopping, dressing, repair and use. Tag hundreds of shops for discounts related to sustainability.
