In light of WEF’s announcement of the Great Reset, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Global Shapers Hubs - Khobar, Riyadh, and Jeddah in collaboration with the Saudi Young Global Leaders (YGL), announced a series of webinars that aimed to provide an avenue for open discussions with key decision makers on certain impact areas of the Great Reset, focusing on Harnessing the Fourth Industrial Revolution, to relate relevant global context into the local, as well as reflect on possible opportunities within the Kingdom. The webinar series was hosted in partnership with King Abdulaziz City for Science and technology (KACST), four webinars were presented, the first was titled “Harnessing the Potential of 4IR in Saudi Arabia,” given by Dr. Anas Alfaris, then President of KACST. The series continued with a second session titled “Humanity at a Crossroad with the Industry 4.0,” given by Henrik von Scheel, Originator of 'industry 4.0'. Following that, the series presented a session titled “How to Trust a Machine,” given by Professor Iyad Rahwan, Director at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development. The series concluded with a session titled “The Future of Technology Governance,” given by Sheila Warren, Deputy Head of C4IR and Head of Data, Blockchain, and Digital Assets. This project has been completed.
