Impact

Ganhando o Mundo

With two editions, one in 2017 and other in 2019, Ganhando o Mundo is an educational project focused on delivering training based on the Forum’s Future of Work Report and the SDGs, aiming to capacitate local public school students on skills and abilities that are important for the 4th Industrial Revolution and aren’t being taught in the basic local educational curriculum. During the two editions, over 70 students were impacted with more than 10 themes provided through one and a half month of classes.

The project 's target group are high school students from public schools. In 2017, students of EEFM Clóvis Beviláqua were reached, while in 2019, students of Centro de Educação Complementar - CEC Barra do Ceará were impacted.

During the first edition, the project started in May, 2017 and finished in June, 2017. At the second edition, the project started in April, 2019 and finished in June, 2019.

In terms of short-term results,  it was possible to establish the first contact of students with topics that are rarely addressed; there was student participation in extracurricular activities. In addition, during the first edition (2017), the students presented a project to improve a real school problem.

As a matter of long term change, in 2017, of the students who participated, 75% responded that the project had the capacity to change their lives (questionnaire applied by the project team). 2 years after the execution of the project, some students who participated sent videos thanking and reaffirming the importance of the topics that were addressed and how they were positively impacted. Otherwise, in 2019, the students were able to learn different subjects and integrate it into their everyday. A most detailed data can’t be presented with precision once there’s only two years since the realisation of the project, and the target group was not followed up. In 2019, this kind of data was not required.
