Give By Default

 

Denmark is the world's 11th richest country.1 This means, even if you're are amongst the 10% of Danes with the lowest earnings, you are amongst the richest 10% of the world. 2

Thus, we are in an enourmously priveleged situation that puts us in a place where we can do a tremendous amount of good together. However, while any of us could probably spare 0.1% of their income (that's less than the price of a coffee for the average Dane), we still rarely undertake a conscious effort to make a donation.

Payroll giving can change that. Payroll Giving is a charitable donation scheme that allows employees to give money to registered charities by having a deduction taken straight from their gross pay. Other countries such as e.g. the UK have a longstanding history of payroll giving and companies with high participation rates have repeatedly been awarded national corporate social responsibility prizes.

Our mission is to find 15 pioneers in Denmark that are willing to trial a payroll giving scheme with us and see if this is can be established more broadly in Denmark.
