Green Hearts
Our environment’s future, lies in little hands
Green Hearts is addressing a need to help support primary schools to teach young children the fundamental waste hierarchy approach. The students learn that landfill is not a sustainable solution and the more items end up in landfill the worse it is for the environment.
Objectives
• To educate children about the fundamentals of responsible waste management, including waste generation, sorting, and recycling.
• To raise awareness about the negative impacts of waste mismanagement on the environment and human health.
• To promote hands-on learning through waste segregation activities, encouraging students to practice waste sorting in their daily lives.
• To engage children in creative activities, fostering a lasting impression of responsible waste management through art/craft making from waste materials.
