GreenTech Hackathon
In November 2019, Nice Hub co-organized a 24h hackathon, together with the association WHAT06 (Women Hackers Action Tank 06).
Throughout the 24 hours, the participants were guided by coaches. In addition, a dedicated workshop helped them prepare the final pitch, in front of the audience and jury. At the same time, 2 workshops dedicated to children were organized on the themes: "Design Thinking" and "Artificial intelligence with educational robots". Overall the event was inclusive and friendly towards families and people of all ages and backgrounds.
* Objective: bring together women, men and children of all backgrounds in order to build together, in 24 hours, creative tech solutions that address environment-related problems.
* Figures:
- over 100 participants
- 6 prizes won by 5 teams.
- each team had 3 to 10 members, with various backgrounds (business, design, marketing, law, tech, manufacturing etc)
- at least 4 hub members contributed at the organization
- 2 hub members participated at the hackathon
- 1 hub member was part of one of the winning teams
* Impact:
- GO GREEN GO PURE: using the energy produced while at the gym
- ON 100 BOITE: returnable packaging for food delivery industry
- SCISEARCH: vocal assistant for research engine
- NATURSPACE: intelligent & autonomous urban gardening kit
- PARKER: replace parking tickets with digital tickets (ex QR codes)
