Hands to the Nature

Refugees in Kakuma Refugee Camp have been facing strong wind which destroys shelters and causes a lot of dust making the camp and its environment a hard place to live.

We are planting trees in the Camp's 21 primary schools and giving climate change and environmental conservation awareness to pupils. this is to curve the destruction of high-speed wind in the near future and eradicate any environmental pollution in the Camp, so far we have planted 50 trees in 5 primary schools. This is possible in collaboration with LOKADO which provides us with seedlings.

Goals:

Minimizing wind destruction.

Equipping young people with knowledge to take climate action in schools.

Reduce dusk cause by wind in the camp.
