Housing Health

Los Angeles Hub is partnering with a nonprofit called The People's Concern to provide skills development to its previously homeless constituents. The People's Concern works to address the effects of homelessness, poverty, and mental and physical illness. One of its programs is life skills and wellness classes to support constituents in preparing for a life of self-sufficiency.

Los Angeles Hub has a unique advantage to leverage our members' backgrounds in financial literacy and budget planning. Our goals for this project are to provide meaningful connection and skill development for program participants while increasing our own knowledge of the space through learning about people's lived experiences. We will go on a monthly basis to the The People's Concern to meet with participants and teach curriculum. Our primary metric of success will be the number of participants we interact with and informal check-ins with them about their satisfaction with our conversations.
