iCyberSafe National Level Cyberthon

I-CyberSafe


 


Shapers across the world are invited to join this cause especially during the pandemic where the number of online victims are increasing at a fast pace. 


 


Did you know that online game addiction has got similar impact as that of a substance addiction? How much do you know about Sextortion, Deep Vein Thrombosis, Bulemia, Fire Fairy Challenge, Darknet, etc? Do you have one wrong click have turn the world of a normal human upside down? And many even end their life being a victim of online crimes? This pandemic has only made online activities a crucial part of our lives. Doesn't that increase the associated online threats ? 


 


I-Cybersafe is an initiative by Global Shapers Coimbatore in association with Information Sharing and Analysis Centre (ISAC) to curb the cyber crime happening around the world by spreading awareness and associated activities. 


 


The initiative began on January 1st, 2021 with an aim to make everyone a digital citizen who wouldn't fall prey to cyber crime by being more vigilant and cautious. Also, the spread of fake messages is at the peak which causes harm to innocent lives.


 


What does i-CyberSafe do:


 


1. Cyber Crime Intervention Officer Certification course


 


Any certification might sound boring now especially when the online is flooded with many such courses. But CCIO course is undoubtedly an exception. You can ask the shapers from Coimbatore hub. We are attaching a testimony here. https://youtu.be/6qMLEnkLvTk


 


Cyber Crime Intervention Officer’s (CCIO) course is a basic Cyber Awareness program approved by AICTE under NEAT 2.0 program of Min of Education, Govt of India under a PPP. This program is specially curated to bring awareness and protect the students, parents, teachers, netizens and train lawyers. 


 


We want our fellow shapers to get trained as a Cyber Crime Intervention Officers. Ot is a paid course but for shapers, we have special offer through which there is 100% waive off in the fees. 


 


The main intention is to educate and empower the shapers who will inturn empower the society they are a part of as they can be the first responders and get in touch with victims. 


 


The course is best suited for: 


 


All Global shapers, students (Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, Medicine, Management) Parents, Teachers, Counsellors, Armed Forces personnel and families, Doctors , Lawyers, Judges, Law enforcement officers, Engineers and responsible netizens. 


 


Course content:


Cyber Psychology 


Online gaming


Online drug issues 


Children and cyber space


Social media 


Tech abuse


Financial frauds 


Basic Cyber laws


Joyful Parenting 


 


The course is conducted through online live sessions with one batch every month.


 


The live sessions for every batch will be held for 6 days (Fridays and Saturdays of 3 consecutive weeks from commencement) from 3 to 5.30 PM:


 


Session recordings will be available if one misses out any session.


Weekly assignments and research work are part of the program to enhance the understanding. 


 


Fees for the programme is INR 5000/- plus GST which is waived off for shapers.

2. Online talk shows and webinars:


 


We shall also arrange for live interactive sessions addressing crucial issues and solutions from cyber safety experts. Currently, we are at the verge of signing an MoU with ISAC. Team. ISAC consists of cyber security experts with more than two decades of experience. 


 


3. Video recorded contents


 


In this, we shall be sharing cyber awareness video content. The type will range from an expert talk or even a small skit. 


 


4. I-CyberSafe Cyberthon


 


Our team has sketched a layout for the Cyberthon.


 


Target audience: Anyone who uses internet including children 


 


Participation criteria:


 


For Individuals:


 


1. Age 14-19: Junior I-CyberSafe Icon of the year award


 


2. 20-33: Youth I-CyberSafe Icon of the year award


 


For team: Minimum 3 to Maximum 7


 


1. Age 14-19: Junior I-CyberSafe Huddlers of the year award


 


2. 20-33: Youth I-CyberSafe Huddlers of the year award


 


3. Above 34: Senior I- CyberSafe Huddlers


 


Contributions:


 


1. Awareness videos on relevant topics


2. Project proposal for app or platform development for making the country cyberSafe


3. Short films


4. Songs or CyberSafe Anthem/Poems or jingles

Already developed application by the candidate which had been presented for other competitions are allowed if they add features to it. Projects already won or requires permission to present due to copyright reasons can be avoided.
