Impact Forward

Research on at least 4 topics and challenges that challenge Israeli society and can be a focus for applied research in communities affected by trauma, ongoing crises, and war. We want to promote the solutions through cross-sector social business initiatives and in collaboration with the municipality, startups, and local businesses.

The vision: Conducting applied research while Developing socio-economic responses in the city of Jerusalem using innovative methodologies, while creating sustainable social workplaces and real public participation in emergency relations.

Values and goals:

  • To design decision-making mechanisms in the public service in a more collaborative manner, at least with the target audience, through joint customer research for challenges.

  • To create cross-sector collaborations (business, social, and public) that will pay off for everyone and in turn will make public money more worthwhile in terms of impact.

  • To generate more social business responses that will create sustainable jobs in the impact field and in other fields.

The challenges we are dealing with: Worsening in - society and community, trauma and rehabilitation, education, economy, and employment. The required actions are to accurately define the unique, exceptional challenges on a local and global scale, and from there to conduct a joint “accelerator” process for local government agencies, businesses, startups, and social business entrepreneurs. Our goals are to produce unique applied research for the world as a case study for unprecedented trauma in Israel and to learn from it, as well as to share other parents with the solution paths and the applied knowledge that will accumulate, as well as at least one social initiative and at least one social-business initiative in each challenge in which there will be cross-sector collaboration.
