Bulawayo Hub envisions a city of the future being one in which each household is aware of its carbon footprint. We propose a system to measure our city’s energy entropy thereby enabling us to assess whether energy provision, access and consumption is tending towards equality and inclusivity.

Putting energy consumption in this context will enable households to make a conscious decision to save energy, not from a cost/kilowatt perspective, but from a carbon footprint perspective. Our municipality can also then plan energy provisioning infrastructure that is democratized and helps the majority of our citizens regardless of area of residence.
