Job Creation for Vulnerable Women

The Mar del Plata Hub's project is framed in equity and inclusion, employment and climate change. It seeks to reuse one of the main wastes from beer production, “Bagasse”, to make bread and then market it, promoting the circular economy and creating jobs. To this end, the target population, i.e., a group of women who are in a vulnerable situation, will be trained, providing them skills related to the labor field.

The aim is to provide tools to a group of women in a situation of social vulnerability. Likewise, to promote labour insertion through the manufacture of bakery products using a waste product from the beer industry. To this end, the target population will be trained, providing them with skills related to the labor field. To verify the achievements and sustainability of the project, measurements will be collected in July and December 2020 regarding the number of women trained and certified, the number of women working, and bakery products commercialized; income generated, the perception of the trained women with respect to the program, the appreciation of the brewery business sector on the continuity of the project and, finally, the impact on the community.
