Iloilo City produces around 20,000 graduates each year, all of whom are looking for jobs, but many of whom remain unemployed months after graduation. The city is fast developing with the entry of new companies but whose scope are limited when it comes to reaching out to graduates and other residents looking for employment. 

Job fairs and job postings in the local papers are the common ways people are able to find out about these vacancies. There has to be a more effective way that employers and prospective employees can find each other. 

This scenario provided the inspiration for Jobads Iloilo (JI). JI is an online portal that allows employers to post information about their job vacancies. At any given time, the site lists more than 500 job vacancies and is continually replenished. It also gets more than 200 unique hits from job seekers every day.
