The National Movement of Young Legislators and Global Shapers Community hubs in the Philippines came together to drum up support for typhoon victims. This effort took form in a donation drive called Kapatiran; it aimed to give light and hope to families and communities affected by the super typhoons that crossed the country recently. Global Shapers Community hubs in Manila, Cebu, Iloilo, and Davao amplified the campaign through its network and set up donation channels to receive funds for a goal of P250,000.00 from donors. Donations are then turned over to the National Movement of Young Legislators who are also identifying beneficiary communities and conducting needs assessments on the ground.

The goals of the project were: 1. Raise an initial P250,000.00 until February 2021 for calamity victims 2. Reach at least 10 calamity victims each from Regions 2, 4A, 5, and NCR 3. Raise support from at least 100 donors
