Target Group The primary beneficiaries of the Kasi Digital initiative are township-based youth aged 19 to 25. These individuals typically lack access to resources like laptops and stable internet, hindering their pursuit of digital skills. Kasi Digital aims to produce 1,000 work-ready software developers by 2025. The initiative focuses on industry-specific curriculum, equipping graduates with the competence to build mobile and web applications proficiently. Hub Activities Recruitment: Kasi Digital recruits candidates from local channels, churches, radio, and schools. Training: A 6-month training program includes in-person classes three days a week and online sessions for two days. Placement: Graduates are placed into startups and corporations for a minimum of 12 months of employment. The first cohort is expected to consist of 10 to 15 potential graduates from Mamelodi Township in Pretoria will simplify the project rollout while providing valuable learning experiences.
