The Sustainable Development Goals was initiated in the year 2015 with the aim of these goals to be achieved by 2030. Port Harcourt residents at the time had little or no awareness about the newly launched Sustainable Development goals, which led to Port Harcourt Hub initiating the #KnowTheSDGs Project. This project was targeted at Secondary School students, Teachers, regular individuals, stake holders and policy makers.

Participants were educated on the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)ddff and various ways they can be part of implementing these goals. Shapers completed Social media campaigns on the importance of the SDGs with the use of infographics and tweet chats, 10 SDG knowledge sharing offline sessions organized, 20 SDG boards and 3000 Know the SDG Stickers were donated to Secondary Schools
