Konexio's Online Mentoring and Training During COVID-19

Konexio, a project founded and managed by Jean Guo, works with vulnerable communities training them with the skills necessary to integrate today's workforce. These skills range from soft-skill workshops to full computer programming courses. With France and countries throughout the globe still in confinement, Konexio is bringing their workshops online in order to continue to support and train their students. The new online workshops will be based on a mentorship programme, matching each student with a dedicated mentor, some of whom will be part of the Paris Shaper Hub. The aim is to keep these students motivated during the confinement period, accompanying them in the creation and revision of their CV or motivation letter, helping with their job search, their interview preparation, etc. In addition, Konexio is testing a new format for some of their training courses to be transitioned online, notably their intro to code course DigiStart, and calling upon by the French government to contribute to the government initiative Solidarité Numérique by contributing content to help those who are digitally excluded.
