Las Limas

Problem Statement

Las Limas was born with the purpose of tracing paths between people and organizations that exist in the multiple limes that make up our city, that are far from each other and that could meet to benefit from joint work.

Target Group

Women from peripheral and/or regional territories.

Proposed Solution

In 2020 we developed Virtual Shapi Inspiration, a mentoring program between people from the Global Shapers communities of Arequipa, Cusco and Lima, and the Scouts. In 2021 we integrate our interests in education, the arts and technology to implement workshops with women from peripheral and/or regional territories in alliance with the Women's Club training for life of the Ministry of Women and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Lime.

Hub Activities

Mentoring program between shapers and workshops for women from peripheral and/or regional territories in alliance with the Women's Club training for life of the Ministry of Women and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Lime.

Short & Long-Term Goals/Results

The objective of these workshops was for women to recognize themselves as creators through the use of analog and digital tools; and that they feel part of a community sharing experiences from their differences and congruence living in peripheral and/or regional territories

We currently seek to promote the use of these tools as teaching resources in school contexts so that students recognize themselves as creators and activate their curiosity about STEAM disciplines (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics).

Short-term goals: 4 workshops with diverse vulnerable communities from Peru.

Collaborators

Women's Club training for life of the Ministry of Women and the Museum of Contemporary Art of Lima.
