LEADERSHIP AND ENTREPRENEURIAL EMPOWERMENT PROJECT FOR REFUGEES FROM WAR

The problem is the bad life that war refugees have, the problems of sexual violence and abuse of all kinds around these refugee camps due to the lack of means to survive, trauma and many diseases.

Refugees are people who are affected by many scourges because they are born into difficulties that they don't know how to manage. Despite this, there is never a shortage of leaders to provide solutions, so the aim of the global shapers community is to train a good number of entrepreneurial leaders to become tangible solutions to this problem.

Refugees in camps

The refugees in the 6 camps around the town of Goma are people who have been fleeing war for over 2 years.

The solution is leadership and business training for refugees

Our platform adopts the approach of continuous training in refugee camps, business creation and effective follow-up on the development of these initiatives.

Our activities are :
Training, assessments, project creation, competitions, coaching and support for projects supported by the program.

- We have already identified the beneficiaries,
- Then we'll select the projects we've asked the beneficiaries to set up.
- Then we'll move on to the training and selection of other innovative projects.
- Then we'll go on to monitor the projects implemented.
- Finally, we're going to support a few projects and organize coaching and accompaniment.

The overall objective of this project is to promote the creative entrepreneurial spirit, empowerment and transformational leadership of refugees in order to lead them to solve the problems they face for a prosperous and fulfilled life in this time of crisis.

- Empower young people to take control of their lives and destinies for a global difference.
- Give hope to young people and foster their sense of leadership.
- To enable each beneficiary of this project to build a prosperous and fulfilling business in order to combat financial dependence, sexual exploitation and drudgery among young war refugees in Goma.
- Encourage each war-displaced person to learn financial intelligence and effective money management.
- Fight against prostitution of young girls, theft, begging of young boys and other sexual and physical abuse and exploitation of all kinds, and lead them to maximize their potential.
- Equip young people with the principles of transformational leadership, entrepreneurship and personal development to rekindle their hope in a better, more promising future.
