Local Awareness

Project Problem Statement: The lack of awareness and engagement in sustainable and social initiatives among local businesses, organizations, and individuals in the region is a pressing issue. This problem may manifest as insufficient commitment to environmentally-friendly practices, inadequate social inclusivity and equity support, and a lack of economic sustainability in businesses.


Target Group: The target audience includes individuals, local organizations, community members, and universities.


Proposed Solution: Our proposed solution involves implementing a series of practical activities linked to relevant international dates in the calendar (e.g., No Waste November or Europe Day). These events will facilitate knowledge sharing, promote best practices, and encourage active engagement among individuals, subsequently involving local businesses and organizations in raising awareness about various topics in the region.


Hub Activities: On a trimestral basis, we will designate a date in the calendar and prepare a practical activity accordingly.


Currently, our planned activities include:


1) Oil collection and transportation for "Recycle Day"

2) Street marketing for "Europe Day"

3) Charity food sale for "World Mental Health Day"

4) Plogging for "No Waste November".


Additionally, we will conduct a social media campaign around each event's date to provide more information to the community about the respective topic.


Long-term Goals: The overarching objectives are to create a more informed community and engage individuals in taking action for the region's well-being, particularly regarding climate and mental health topics.


Available Metrics: As this project is intended to be a long-term endeavor in the Hub, we anticipate increased engagement from non-Shapers through the repetition of activities.


Project Collaborators: We are seeking collaboration with other NGOs in the region, such as the France Cancer Association, for participation in our events, subject to their availability.
