"Lugano Dona" is a collaborative, humanitarian initiative in its fourth edition, orchestrated by the Global Shapers Lugano Hub as part of a cross-hub project involving multiple Swiss Hubs. The project is designed to provide practical support and a warm welcome to individuals seeking asylum in the Canton of Ticino.

The Lugano Dona project, spearheaded by the Global Shapers Lugano Hub, is primarily focused on providing essential items like winter clothing, stationery, and toys to asylum seekers, addressing their immediate material needs. Alongside this, a key goal is to facilitate the integration of these individuals into the local community, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. This is achieved through collaborative efforts with various Swiss Hubs and asylum centers, aiming to build bridges between different community segments and foster a deeper understanding and empathy towards asylum seekers.
