Shaping Disability San Francisco - Masks4disability

To date, we have distributed 389 masks.

The San Francisco Hub is shipping out reusable cotton masks to the disability community to protect people and their PAs/care team members during COVID-19. As US cities start to reopen, we understand that the disability community may need to shelter for longer to avoid subsequent waves of the virus and not be faced with discriminatory hospital triage plans and practices (see http://NoBodyIsDisposable.org for more on this). To slow the spread of the virus, face coverings are required in public spaces in many US cities. Because some of our disability community members may not have access to local mutual aid networks in their cities, and other mask distributions needed an in-person pickup, we have decided to opt for contactless delivery and ship out masks to disabled people who need them (USA only).
