Organized by the Global Shapers Community Singapore Hub and the National Youth Council, the National Youth Dialogues (NYD) series serves as a platform for youth in Singapore to have a stake in the future and co-create policies with the government. This multi-year dialogue series features distinguished speakers from the public, private and people sectors, and allows youth participants to hear from the panellists, share the youth’s perspectives, and engage in open and thoughtful discourse about critical issues that affect Singapore’s future. NYD also aims to empower the youth to drive positive change by increasing their awareness about existing channels and support for youth action.

The conversations are held in support of Forward SG, and come under the Forward SG pillars of Empower, Equip, Care, Build, Steward and Unite. These span social issues such as housing and healthcare, bread-and-butter issues like cost of living and job support, and environmental issues related to the nation’s net-zero transition.

Since mid-2022, over 700 youth have participated across the six dialogues held thus far.
