Navigating the Future: Doha Hub and QDB's Blueprint for Investment

Project's Problem Statement: In an evolving global landscape, there's a notable gap in comprehensively documented insights regarding the intricate interplay of investments, community, and entrepreneurship within the Qatari innovation ecosystem.

Project's Target Group: Our primary focus lies on budding entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, think tanks, and both public and private sector entities in Qatar who are deeply invested in, or influenced by, the country's innovation ecosystem.

Project's Proposed Solution: In collaboration with the Qatar Development Bank, the GSC Doha Hub aims to produce an insightful research paper that delves into the unique challenges and opportunities presented by the Qatari innovation environment, ensuring it resonates with both local and global stakeholders.

Hub Activities for this Project: Conduct in-depth research using both primary and secondary data sources. Organize focus groups and interviews with prominent figures within the Qatari entrepreneurial community. Collaborate closely with the research and investment arms of the Qatar Development Bank. Draft, review, and refine the research paper. Organize dissemination events, webinars, or talks to share findings. Engage with local media and think tanks for wider reach and impact.

Project Short and Long-Term Goals:

  • Short-Term Goals: Complete the research paper with actionable insights. Facilitate open dialogue and knowledge-sharing within the Qatari innovation ecosystem.

  • Long-Term Goals: Positively influence policy-making and investment strategies within Qatar. Establish the GSC Doha Hub as a thought leader in the region. Lay the foundation for consistent, impactful collaborations with other renowned think tanks.

Project's Available Metrics:

  • Output Metrics: Number of private and public sector orgs adoption of findings. The degree of depth of which the data can be useful to everyone in the ecosystem Reach of the disseminated research (e.g., downloads, shares, citations).

  • Impact Metrics: Influence investment patterns or policies influenced by the paper's findings. Feedback and testimonials from stakeholders about the paper's value. Increased engagement and collaborations spurred by the research.

Project Collaborators: Our key collaborator for this initiative is the Qatar Development Bank, specifically its research and investment arms. As the project progresses, we remain open to engaging other prominent think tanks and organizations to amplify its reach and impact.
