NewConnect will consist of a series of sector-specific networking dinners bringing together
newcomers to Ottawa with young and experienced professionals to facilitate enhanced career development and support new immigrants in achieving their career potential by accelerating
their professional networks. The dinners will also provide a chance for relevant speakers to help
prepare attendees (newcomers and established professionals alike) for the future of work by
identifying the core skills for success in the age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and options
for building those (predominantly social/emotional intelligence-based) skills.
