Impact

Oficina de Futuros ("Future Workshop")

Problem Statement

The Future Workshop project aims to promote continuous education for the youth in communities in São Paulo, starting with the Grajaú region, in order to address the deficit in developing skills necessary for the context of the world transformation driven by the fourth industrial revolution and the local issues in communities most affected by the socioeconomic impacts of this phenomenon. As we develop young individuals as agents of change for these issues in their regions through training, workshops, knowledge paths, and monitoring of leadership development, our goal is to cultivate competencies that will be valuable for their professional growth. This involves rethinking the integration and development of these individuals in the productive job market, fostering innovation, circular economy, and entrepreneurship.

Target group

Youth from communities aged between 14 and 24 years old.

Proposed solution

We aim to empower local facilitators and transformers through ongoing education, enabling the traction of projects and initiatives led by the young members of the community themselves.

Hub activities

  • Development of the youth census and initiation of data collection.

  • Organizing discussion sessions with the local youth.

  • Developing the methodology and monitoring the project's progress.

Short and long-term goals

  • Conducting a census of the local youth and local dialogues to map the youth profile.

  • Defining the project scope and next steps.

  • Creating a development methodology.

  • Forming classes following the "Future Workshop" methodology.

  • Providing support until the completion of initial projects determined within the class scope.

  • Ensuring long-term monitoring of sustainability and continuity of actions.
