Brazil has received many immigrants and refugees in the last years. Many of them come to Florianópolis and struggle to find jobs so they can make a living in the city. Partnered with CRAI (Centro de Referência de Atendimento ao Imigrante), Florianópolis Hub has identified there is a lack of communication between companies and immigrants looking for job opportunities. Through Opus Project, the Hub has worked to improve the communication between CRAI and companies based in Florianópolis so more immigrants had the opportunity to apply to job offers with the goal of getting officially employed.

The project aims to inform companies about the process and the benefits of hiring immigrants and refugees, and to facilitate partnerships between CRAI and companies based in Florianópolis so they can exchange job opportunities and candidates’ resumés. By achieving these goals we intend to have more immigrants and refugees employed in Florianópolis and to promote respect among cultural diversity in the city.
